Ennis Mart – bullock prices – 22-10-2021

According to a spokesperson, just under 600 bullocks went under the hammer at Ennis Mart on Friday, October 22^nd.

They reported that the sale attracted “large” numbers of 550kgs upwards.

Speaking following the sale at the Clare-based mart, the spokesperson said:

“The quality stores and beef type bullocks held a very strong trade.”

“However, lighter lots and the slightly lesser quality would be back by about €30 to €40 on the week. Demand from the north remained positive.”

Meanwhile, a spokesperson reported that just under 600 lots were on offer at Kilfenora Mart on Monday, October 25^th, 2021.

They noted that “trade was pretty strong overall,” as “customers travelled from Offaly, Laois, Tipperary, Carlow, Limerick, Donegal, Sligo and Westmeath”.

“Some great prices for quality heifers. On the other hand, bulls were very strong with great farmer interest, especially for quality.
