Blessington: Weather drives fewer numbers with prices to €800 over the kg

Blessington Mart – Cattle Prices – 15-12-2022

According to a spokesperson for Blessington Mart, there was a smaller cattle sale on Thursday, December 15th, 2022, due to weather conditions.

They reported that a “very good trade prevailed for all classes” as its final cattle sale of the year.

Feeding cows changed hands from €260-€520 over, while beef cows went under the hammer from €600-€800 over the kg.

Meanwhile, in the bullock ring, continental stores made from €460-€960 over, while Hereford and Angus stores clicked from €360-€680 over.

Then, in terms of heifers, continental stores pushed from €450-€800 over, while Hereford and Angus stores sold from €360-€680 over the weight.
