Baltinglass Mart report – cattle prices – 23-06-2021

According to Tom Coleman, quality store cattle were in demand at Baltinglass Mart on Wednesday, June 23^rd, 2021.

“All types of cattle were up by €70 to 150/head over the last few weeks.”

Baltinglass Mart 23-06-2021:

Bullocks:

• LM – 515kg – €1250;
• CH – 480kg – €1010;
• SIX – 400kg – €970.

Heifers:

• CH – 580kg – €1340;
• 2 LM – 575kg – €1320;
• LM – 490kg – €1170;
• LM – 550kg – €1140;
• 2 CH – 500kg – €1130;
• SI – 490kg – €1060;
• BB – 485kg – €1010;
• CH – 420kg – €900.

Other categories:

• In-calf cows from €1000 up to €1320;
• Fat cows up to €1000.

Sheep sale 26-06-2021:

According to Coleman, a larger entry of sheep was on offer at Baltinglass Mart on Saturday, June 26^th, 2021.

“Heavy lambs were easier by €6-€7 from last week. A top price of €140 was paid for 55kg lambs. Stores were in good demand and were making €70 – €90,” the spokesperson added.
